The first is Shunryu Suzuki's Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind. It is a wonderful book, but in spite of the title, it is not a good book for beginners. Sit one or two sesshins first, and then read it. One issue that I'm having is trying to locate a book to read which is directed toward more experienced practitioners.
